Everybody is here to gain experience from the roles, jobs, positions and lifestyles we all assume and live day in and day out to gain experience and knowledge; these things are not to be judged or criticized.
An investment banker is not any better then a prostitute or a mail room clerk. These pre-judgments exist based on our views of their salary and lifestyle and these views all vary from person to person. Nobody thinks of the stress of the investment banker or the difficulties of the prostitute, but this is the area they have chosen to gain experience in on some level and no one position or way of life is any better or worse then the other. There are certain areas of interest and certain reasons why people are drawn into the paths they choose in life, they would not be there unless they were actively creating it.
We need to stop basing our judgments off of materialism and social status and we need to start realizing the beauty and reason where benefit can be had in all things. It doesn’t matter where you came from, we all need to see the good in the things that seemingly say they are not good. If you can’t see yourself doing something, then that does not mean it isn’t right for another person – they are in that situation because there is something there for them to learn and gain before they can pick themselves up out of it and walk away a stronger and better person. Just because we all don’t share the same one-track life doesn’t mean we have to. We are all unique and we are all different with variation being the spice and flavor of life – you shouldn’t expect the world to be like you and adhere to your standards because this won’t ever work. Trying to bend and control other people to behave how you want them to is not only going to make you a miserable person, but you are going to stagnate them keep them supressed. If you want the most out of people, you need to learn to work with them and let them make their own unique contribution to the whole without keeping them down or limited.
We also like to judge based on our own personal moral and ethical code, but we cannot do this, for example, with a prostitute because perhaps they chose to gain experience in that situation in order to explore and broaden their awareness while developing a stronger sense of personal morality.
We as humans have no rights to judge in any content because we do not understand the higher order working behind the scenes for anything. We just must be aware that we are all here to work in a co-dependence and better ourselves. Judging others is being counter-productive when we should all be working together and supporting each other to bring out the highest potential possible.
Another example of this in action is this:
Managers hold their positions and have assistant managers.
These assistants will learn naturally and one day be ready to move up – however, not every individual wants the responsibility of a full manager’s position and this is natural and to be expected. Some people only want to experience from a certain position, perspective or vantage point in the world and this is fine, things only become a problem when people have high potential but they lock themselves into a certain way of thinking, being and living because they cannot push and motivate themselves to be more.
I would look at people who live out of the norm lifestyles and professions and regard them highly. It takes a lot of courage and inner strength to push yourself to endure lifestyles that aren’t accepted or mainstream because they force you and challenge you to grow expand yourself at a rapid rate. Those of us who live lives that push the limits of convention are the ones who are on the fast track of growth; even if you don’t jump out of airplanes for a living or don’t do a dangerous job, that is fine, we all have the areas and ways in which we best can grow and explore who we are. More often then not you will find yourself cycling in and out of periods of intense growth and rapid acceleration of your surroundings and who you really are.
